Silicone compounds are being increasingly used by EV manufacturers for their high-performance features in critical cable and wiring.
EV car manufacturers (OEMs) and their parts suppliers use premium materials for their EV cables, which are the lifelines of their engines and electronic systems. The specifications for these critical cables are very strict so they can withstand a series of potential hazards, in particular against the high temperatures produced by the batteries and electrical engines in the restricted housings of EVs.
