Why Wire Harness Companies Keep Moving to Mexico

What’s the common thread (or wire) between a Detroit-based company that makes wire harness assemblies for trucking and a company from Denmark that builds components for hearing instruments? Both of them recently opened manufacturing facilities in Mexico. Despite being drastically different operations serving totally different markets, both saw a strategic advantage (and competitive imperative) to diversifying their manufacturing footprint.
