“Steeger” spools, are well established in braiding and rewinding applications. They are used especially in the production of electrical conductors for
medical technology and in fine wire processing, where maximum precision and reliable mate-rial handling are required.
The Problem: Manual Processes Are Still Required Due to the Missing Clamping Feature on the Spool Despite their widespread use, traditional “Steeger” spools are not designed to automatically secure the wire bundle at the start of the winding process.
